Environment
We strive to undertake business operations adapted to the impact of climate change and to proactively promote business and environmental conservation activities with the aim of reducing our environmental footprint.
Environmental Management System
We have established a structure for promoting our response to climate change under the supervision of the Board of Directors. The Sustainability Committee deliberates on a strategy and other areas relating to sustainability management.

Response to TCFD and TNFD recommendations
The Japan Post Group has expressed its support for the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
Also, as one of our efforts for the environment, the Group has begun to apply the LEAP approach according to the recommendations of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), and is discussing appropriate measures.
Starting from FY2025, the Group promotes integrated disclosure in accordance with TCFD and TNFD recommendations.
Climate Change
We are committed to climate change action, particularly reducing GHG emissions, and have set both an ultra-long-term target of "achieving carbon neutrality by 2050" and a medium-term milestone target for FY2030.

Responding to biodiversity conservation
The Group recognizes that its business activities can only be made possible by utilizing benefits from ecosystems, and accordingly is conducting appropriate measures in consideration of the maintenance of ecosystems and preservation of biodiversity and natural capital.

Pollution and Resources
We work to promote the 3 R's (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and efforts to go paperless, to effectively utilize resources, and to reduce waste to use limited resources carefully and to realize a recycle-based society.
