Health Management Initiatives of the Japan Post Group

With the understanding that physical and mental health is important for individual employees to fully exercise their abilities and work with vitality, the Japan Post Group built the Japan Post Group Health Management Promotion System and is taking measures for maintaining and improving health, including reducing long work hours, health guidance toward prevention of lifestyle diseases, and mental health care.

In May 2022, Presidents of four Group companies established the Japan Post Group Declaration on Health to jointly promote health management.

Japan Post Group Declaration on Health

The Japan Post Group believes that the foundation of our management lies first and foremost in the physical and mental well-being of our employees in order to realize our Management Philosophy, which aims for the happiness of our customers and employees. The employees will personally maintain and enhance their "healthy minds and bodies" and we will work to build work environments that support such endeavors. Furthermore, each individual employee will take full advantage of their skills and work energetically and, in turn, aim to realize the happiness of the customers.

Initiatives for Promoting Health Management

Initiatives based on Health Checkup Results

Based on the results of health checkups, we grasp the health conditions of all employees and implement the high-risk approach according to health risks for employees with high health risks, as well as the population approach for all employees including those in good health.

High Risk Approach

  • Employees who need medical procedures: Directly encouraged by industrial doctors to visit medical institutions; follow-up consultation
  • Employees with a certain health risk: Encouraged to visit medical institutions based on AI prediction; continuing health guidance by industrial health staff, etc.
