Energy Consumption Reduction Plan to Climate Change
Japan Post Group has formulated a plan to reduce energy consumption in our business activities and is committed to implementing it. In addition, after estimating the cost required to promote the plan and analyzing the impact on management, we will strive to use limited energy resources and mitigate climate change efficiently.

Development of facilities that consider resource recycling and natural energy use (Japanese)
Japan Post is proceeding with the construction of environmentally friendly +Eco Post Offices. In addition to utilizing recycled resources through the use of CLT materials, we are also introducing solar powered-power generation equipment and taking other initiatives to contribute to the creation of a recycling-based society.

Pencil Recycling System
At Japan Post, we are carrying out a demonstration of a pencil recycling system together with Sakata Seed Corporation, Shinagawa City Board of Education, and Mitsubishi Pencil Co., Ltd.
This system collects pencils that have been fully used at post offices and reuses them as fuel or in biomass power generation.

Ink Cartridges Satogaeri (Homecoming) Project
It is estimated that around 200 million ink cartridges are used each year in Japan following the popularization of home printers. Japan Post is setting up collection boxes in post offices and working on ink cartridge recycling with the goal of creating a recycle-based society in global environmental conservation.
